Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Prepare draft annual accounts, prepare disclosure checklists to ensure compliant.
Prepare draft tax computations for corporate clients for review by the tax manager.
Prepare VAT controls, PAYE controls and other difficult areas.
To prepare schedules and controls needed for management accounts in a format agreed with the Accounts Manager. To analyse the figures included in the management accounts and to highlight unusual patterns or ratios.
To prepare written communication to send to or verbally communicate with our clients to obtain information to complete the accounts preparation process and to deal with any queries raised.
To review the schedules prepared for VAT returns and communicate with the client in respect of their liability and submit the relevant return by the deadline date.
Report results and findings from audit work carried out to the Audit Manager and highlight any issues that may have arisen.
Provide assistance and support for junior members of staff following the company training programme. Identify training needs and provide effective feedback to both trainees and managers.
Attend and participate in training programmes to develop your knowledge and skills

Proactively up-sell/cross sell at every opportunity to achieve team sales target.
To understand retail maths and business metrics including cost of goods, mark up, markdown, margin, inventory turns and retail staff incentives.
To obtain a benchmark level, and continuously improve product knowledge across the full range of products and develop "experts" within the customer base.

Position Overview

Essential Job Responsibilities

Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full end-to-end responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims. Also covering excess of loss and pro rata business or alternatively binder and facultative risks types.
Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications
Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
Manage all brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post booking receipt, ad hoc reporting requests, payment of funds and all management and transactional process steps
Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets. Understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices
Participate in team meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions
Skills & Qualifications

Significant experience of working within a technical capacity for a Broker within Reinsurance sector
Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations of all clients and stakeholders
Able to engage, influence and negotiate with clients, market contacts and colleagues in a professional manner
Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

Liaise with the group finance function and external auditor in the conduct of audits, reviews and investigations
Review/commentary of Balance Sheets including adequacy of provisions, group policies, working capital movements.
Support the group budgeting and forecasting process.
Support system implementation projects (ERP) and divisional IT strategyAccountabilities:

Continuous improvement in quality and robustness of controls and accuracy of reporting
Ensure accuracy of Group, Tax, pension, PAYE, P11d and NI submissions
Management of internal relationship with the parent companies accounting and finance teams
Develop and mentor a high performing team and instil a culture of continuous improvement
Identify and manage business risks and issues with escalation to the Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance and other management as appropriateQualifications and experience needed:

Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA).

Job Description: Prime appointments are pleased to work with a global business to help them to recruit for a Materials Planner to work on a 12-month contract, with the potential for it to be longer or permanent.

This position will be on an initial 12-month contract to help cover a company wide implementation project, however due to large tenders and bids for excellent and continued business in the future, this position could end up being a permanent position.

The business is a world leading manufacturer who have multiple sites around the UK, however the materials planner will be based at their site in Witham. You will be working for a business who are the leading and go to engineering partner for all today innovation leaders, whether that be energy, aerospace, factories or in your home. This companies products and innovative designs can be found all over the world. Joining this company will be a great way to be apart of that!

As the Materials Planner you will be working on the administration systems to plan and co-ordinate inventory, as well as the below duties too;

Run company reports and order appropriate stock levels.
Placing purchase orders on computer systems to suppliers.
Review sales demand and initiate works orders.
General expediting both internal and external.
Working with production teams to ensure that our on-site raw materials are accurately inventoried, and any discrepancies are appropriately dealt with.
Good office administration experience.As a Materials Planner, you must have experience with expediting and planning the stock for the production lines, making sure the levels are kept up to date to ensure minimum production disruption. You must also have;

Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, both written and oral.
Pro-active and responsive to customer (internal and external) requirements.
High level of numeric/attention to detail.
Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
